Microgaming launched their live blackjack game at the start of 2010.  The game's release coincided with a general platform upgrade which saw their existing roulette and baccarat games change considerably in terms of both functionality and look and feel.

Look and feel of this game has improved markedly with a recent upgrade that saw an improvement to the already sharp video quality, as well as a new gaming floor backdrop that creates a far more ambient feel than the old blue screen.

Under the hood there are some pretty impressive features to be found here also:

Video options... Not only can you enlarge and detach the video, you also have to distinct game views to choose from - 'Game view' and 'Casino view' (see below).  Video quality is outstanding and also allows players to adjust to one of 6 settings.

Play multiple games...click a button on the bottom menu bar and with your game session remaining in tact, you are taken back to the game lobby to choose another game (another blackjack table or another game or games altogether) to play simultaneously. Presently Microgaming is the only live platform offering this feature.

Bet behind...you can play this blackjack game as either a seated player, of simply bet behind another seated player - as you would do in a traditional casino.

Playcheck...easily accessed from the bottom left menu button, Playcheck gives you comprehensive stats on your personal play history as far back as you would like to go.

You will find this a fast game of live blackjack.  The counter (to place bets) starts ticking at a meagre 15 seconds.  Even with a relatively full table you won't be waiting too long for a bet round here.

One common feature that is notably absent is chat.  While most platform allow player (typed) chat and dealer responses either in type or verbal/audio, here its all play and no socializing!

Live blackjack is not available in free-play mode. You may watch the game without a funded account but can only play with real money.

With such outstanding video quality, and beautiful dealers, it would be nice to have a dealer chat option. Unfortunately this currently doesn't exist.
