You know those scam emails you get from Nigeria, or some other part of Africa telling you that you've been hand picked to assist in the transfer of $30,000,000 or so out of the country - with the promise of millions in reward for your efforts if you are prepared to fork out a little cash to help get the job done?

I received one yesterday and was bored enough at the time to decide to run with it and see what happens.

my response sent 30 April
Hello Mr Hammad,

Thankyou for your email.

I must say that I am very surprised that His Excellency Mr Mubarak has
selected me to be entrusted with his huge sums of money as I don't think
we've ever met before (I am also not very good with money and figures - or
so my wife keeps telling me).

Nevertheless I am honoured to have been considered a worthy confidant in
this time of great urgency and with so much at stake. I will do whatever I
can to help.

As to confidentiality, I hope you don't mind if I share this information
with a very select few friends (definitely not my wife though). Otherwise
nobody will know of our dealings.

I await your further instructions.

Best regards
Leanard Dunderhead (L.D.)
let's see if this goes anywhere
