Big story brewing in the land-based casino world in London.

Well known poker pro Phil Ivey won £7.3 million (about $11 mil) in two nights playing Punto Banco baccarat at Crockfords back in August this year. He was accompanied by a ‘beautiful Oriental woman’ who it was later discovered recently had her membership to another Mayfair casino suspended.

Anyway the MASSIVE controversy now is that Crockfords have thus far refused to pay the winnings...instead returning Ivey's initial £1 mil stake. They smell a rat and have informed the UK Gaming Commission that they are investigating the win, believing there may have been some collusion going on.

Right now Crockford's (oldest private gaming club in the world, now owned by Genting) and Ivey's lawyers are rubbing their hands together eager to go at it!
