Several countries adopt different strategies and methods to control and limit online gambling.

I read with interest that the Turkish Parliament want to introduce new legislation that would further tighten the country's ban on online gambling. The new law proposal also intends to prosecute players who are caught betting online or playing casino games at offshore operators.

Fines on players who are caught betting and playing online for real money would range between 100,000 and 500,000 Turkish Liras - approx. €43,000 - €213,000.

Very interesting. Even the US never went as far as targeting players...always the operators or payment facilitators.

Pretty heft fines too by the looks...don't know what average annual incomes are in Turkey but would be surprised if they're over €43,000!

In South Africa the NGB has been known to confiscate winnings from unlicensed online betting sites. Funny...they don't reimburse losses!
'coz good old fashioned real random beats simulated random any day
