Hubertus Vaeth ... Frankfurt banks representative interviewed on the BBC and asked about the massive market reaction to Brexit (GBP down 5%+, FTSE down 5%+, DAX down 6%+) ... said words to the effect:

In the last few days the market was reassured by the bookies that Brexit would not happen.

The upset result has shocked finance markets
