bet365 announces expansion plans and move

The talk of the town in Stoke-on-Trent over the weekend was an announcement from the City’s biggest employer, bet365, that they are expanding and moving.

The expansion…plans to add another 600 staff to their current workforce of 2,200 over the next decade.

The move…just down the road to Etruria where a swanky new 3 floor, 13,000 square meter HQ is planned for construction with work beginning next year and staff due to move in early 2016.

The new digs will be twice the size of their current home in Festival Park, and no doubt a whole lot more high tech.

Wonder if they’ve earmarked a little floor space for an in-house dealer studio, ala BetVictor? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

The plans have been warmly received by local politicians, but reactions from locals seem mixed judging by comments at the Sentinal…I think:
