New Colombia Studio Launch for Pragmatic Play

Pragmatic Play have announced the launch of their latest live dealer studio, and first in LATAM.

The new studio is located in the swanky new Torres Atrio building in Bogota, Colombia. It comes with a more than 100 table capacity and a price tag of around $15 million. The entire project is said to have delivered almost 1,500 jobs locally.

Built and operated by Pragmatic’s technology partner ARRISE, the new studio will be a key to Pragmatic’s ability to provide live games to fast evolving LATAM market. It will house a broad range of games from casino classics blackjack and roulette, to Pragmatic’s game show titles like Mega Roulette.

The games be hosted by native Spanish and Portuguese-speaking dealers/presenters.

The studio will also come equipped with Pragmatic’s ‘Smart Studio’ technology, allowing for casino branding of tables. That is, virtually branded rather than physically branded table environments.

Per Pragmatic Play COO Irina Cornides:

“This new live casino studio in Colombia represents a major milestone in our native content expansion strategy across Latin America. We’ve long recognised the immense potential of the region and remain committed to delivering premium, localised experiences tailored to the needs of each market.

By working closely with our trusted operator partners, we aim not only to support their growth with best-in-class content, but also to continue expanding our presence and forging new, impactful relationships throughout LATAM.”

Who are ARRISE?

ARRISE and Pragmatic Play maintain a close operational partnership within the iGaming sector. ARRISE functions as Pragmatic Play’s primary service and technology provider, delivering software development, live casino studio operations, IT infrastructure, and regional support.

Public materials, including Pragmatic’s own news releases often describe Pragmatic Play as being, “powered by ARRISE”, highlighting the integral role ARRISE plays executing much of its live-casino and platform delivery.  On the flip side, ARRISE is also referred to as “ARRISE powering Pragmatic Play”, suggesting the business’ primary purpose is a technology partner to Pragmatic.

ARRISE describes itself as a global software-development & services company for the iGaming sector, supporting clients including Pragmatic Play, inferring non-exclusivity. They operate live dealer studios in Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Romania, and Serbia. It is not disclosed if streams from any of these studios are used by providers other than Pragmatic.

Legally, they are distinct corporate entities: ARRISE is a privately held services group headquartered in Gibraltar, while Pragmatic Play is an independent content supplier owned through separate holding companies. There is no confirmed public record of cross-ownership or parent-subsidiary control, indicating a contractual and operational collaboration rather than a formal corporate integration.

But the operations of the two entities are closely intertwined. Another example of this is the fact that the Pragmatic Play careers page links jobseekers to the ARRISE jobs page to search for opportunities to work with Pragmatic.
