A very World Cup Christmas 2022

Normally less than 2 weeks out from Christmas we’d expect to see live tables adorned with decorations befitting the season. Especially in exclusive casino areas.

Christmas 2021 is an example of the sort of festive spirit we’re used to.

Not quite so festive this year however. Owing to some unusual World Cup scheduling, live dealer land finds itself caught in a clash of the big events at the moment.

Celebrate Christmas, or pay homage to the world’s most bet on sporting event? That is the question.

Doing a quick whip around, it seems the World Cup takes precedence.

It’s all about soccer balls over at 888. Both in their Elite Lounge and regular private tables. Not a Christmas decoration in sight.

Same deal at Unibet.

bet365 have decided to address the conflict by ignoring both events. As you were. Nothing to see here.

Compare this to their efforts same time last year.

Christmas spirit as also gone missing in the Skylounge at Dublinbet this year. At least one dealer is not at all happy about the situation. Perhaps he was in charge of organising the decorations?

We did manage to find a Christmas tree. It was hiding by the back wall in one of Leo Vegas’ private areas.

Whether you’re part of the shrinking population still transfixed to the World Cup, or have turned you attention to Christmas, have a safe and happy holiday season!
