Live casino games for iPad

***************

Latest update: Live casino games for iPad are now available.

Update:  We have added a more recent post on how to play live casino games on your iPad, and where you can play them

***************

Wired predicts that over 53 million tablet computers will be purchased in 2011 alone and a good chunk of these will be the market dominating iPad.  It seems that there are two kinds of people in the world these days…those with an iPad and those planning on getting one some time soon.

With so many iPad users out there, no doubt some are bound to finger-swipe their way onto a live casino website hoping to play some real-deal games.  They’ll be disappointed though, because presently a widely available iPad live casino game option does not exist.

To be honest, it would not be the best device to play these games on anyway with the small screen detracting from the live dealer experience in my opinion.  Plug your PC into a 50 inch plasma and play these games and now your talking!

The big stumbling block is the fact that iPad/Safari doesn’t support the Adobe Flash plugin…essential for most live games offered in browser play form.  As for playing via the full casino software download…tried a few of them too and no dice.

The one option that I thought may have been a goer was Vuetec’s Java based based games available at Dublinbet and Lucky Live Casino.  Alas, iPad/Safari wouldn’t accept the applet required to launch these games.

A bunch of unsuccessful attempts to play live games on my iPad are captured below (by the way…if you ever want to take a screen grab on your iPad just push the Home + On/Off  buttons simultaneously).

One exception…albeit a limited one

NetPlay TV’s SuperCasino does have a live roulette application that was accepted into the Apple App Store last year.  It can be be played on iPhone (why would you bother?) and presumably also iPad but is ONLY available to UK residents.

If anyone out there has played it on either iPhone or iPad, love to hear your thoughts.

Yeah this is actually right the ipad is being purchased because of two reasons. Both casino games and ipad is gaining popularity because of that.

I live in Ireland so cannot access the pauper casino one either. I share your frustration of not being able to get a live dealer roulette or other casino games on the iPod. Your right I wouldn’t bother on the iPhone.

How about a business venture.? Have u any idea how this could be done. Surely there is money to be made on the app alone. It is possible to outsource app making fairly cheaply, maybe if a few of us funded one and got it running through the major live casinos like ladbrokes, paddy power and your above mentioned.

I have seen apps that somehow run flash in their apps, there is a new one I saw on Cali Lewis geek beat tv. Point being if it’s possible then surely it’s possible.

      Nice work Ed!

I’m out of the office for the week and don’t have the iPad with me but can’t wait to give it a go. I’ll take your word for it that Paddy’s Live games do work with iSwifter on iPad.

For other readers, iSwifter is available at the iPad app store. It provides a browser interface for Flash-based games and web sites so they can be played/viewed on your iPad.

Just download the app and visit Paddy Power and give it a go.

There’s another iOS/iPad Flash enabling app called Sky Fire that may also work in case iSwifter doesn’t do the trick

ps i’ll shoot you a mail and we can talk about that fiver (or tenner)
pps how cute’s Cali at Geekbeattv?

    Ya she’s a schwing!

Well it kinda worked as in I can see the video and the dealer but because iswifter is accessing pp from outside Europe in the USA they think someone’s trying to hack my account, so pp locked my account ughhhh it also wouldn’t let me deposit money, there must be some other flash browsers with European servers around, I’ll try the one yu said. I wonder if we knocked on casino doors and told them they could increase their visitors tenfold jnust by changing a few security checks, would they listen. Or maybe I’ll just try an email to iswifter
