Microgaming live blackjack: from 5 decks to 8

Some time in the last few months Microgaming have increased the number of decks they use in their live blackjack shoes from five to eight.

Special thanks to forum member bvlgaris who rightly pointed that they are now using 8 decks and that our live blackjack house edge page (among other) needed updating to reflect this.

This seemingly insignificant change does lift the house edge (for optimal play) on these tables from 0.468% to 0.512%.

Guess they thought few would notice the change. Probably a fair assumption with the likes of Hannah and Elaine dealing the cards on these tables!

Microgaming’s house rules (game assist) has been updated to correctly reflect this policy change.
