Finally. US based, US licensed live dealers

This was a long time coming.

Now, finally, players in the United States can play US based and US licensed live dealers online.

Thanks to a partnership between the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City and Ezugi, residents of New Jersey (only) can now log on to Golden Nugget’s website between the hours of 5pm and 1am (EST) and play blackjack, roulette and baccarat tables live streamed from within the casino’s premises.

It’s a small step but a significant one.

Other New Jersey online gambling permit holders are sure to follow suit soon with their own live tables. The major live games providers will be eager to be their technology partners. Online casinos in Delware and other US states wanting in on online gambling will be sure to include live dealers, regulations pending.

Golden Nugget’s live dealer games:

It’s a pretty unimpressive lineup compared to what players outside the US get access to, but it’s a start.

Live Blackjack…classic 7 seat game, dealt from an 8 deck shoe with blackjack paying 3:2 and side bets offered

Live Baccarat…with standard Punto Banco bets/payouts (Banker 0.95:1, Player 1:1, Tie 8:1) and Dragon Bonus side bets

Live Roulette…American (zero and double zero) wheel unfortunately. Guess when you’re the only live table in town you can make the punters bend over and grab their ankles.

Live dealers for US players just got a lot more interesting!
