Coming to America: More Live Game Shows

It was only a matter of time before the live game show juggernaut made its way across the Atlantic. That time seems to have come.

Playtech announced yesterday that they’ll soon be debuting Adventures Beyond Wonderland in the US. Meanwhile Evolution last week launched Lightning Dice for players in New Jersey, streamed from inside one of their (two) Atlantic City studios. It joins their Football Studio table (arguably a game show) which was made available when the studio went live at the end of 2022.

Adventures Beyond Wonderland coming to New Jersey

Playtech’s Adventures Beyond Wonderland is a themed big money wheel game. The theme in case the name didn’t give it away is Alice in Wonderland.

Adventures was launched for EU markets at the end of 2020 and must have been well received if Playtech decided to lead with it in the US. It will be streamed from within their New Jersey studio and be available to players resident in NJ.

Exactly when Adventures will be accepting bets from NJ players wasn’t disclosed.  Their release was very much in the future tense, saying that, “an innovative physical studio in New Jersey will be the new home for the casino game show, which will be broadcasted 24/7”.

Playtech Live CEO Edo Haitin, had the typical superlative packed quote included in yesterday’s news release.

“We are proud to deliver the first true game show experience in the American market. Live Casino is not just part of the gambling industry, but also part of the entertainment industry – and it’s here to stay. In the current gaming landscape, players rightfully expect and deserve cutting-edge, experiential content that provides enjoyable moments of entertainment. Adventures Beyond Wonderland not only meets but surpasses these expectations…”

Describing it as the ‘first true game show experience’ in the American market could be considered a little cheeky given Evolution already have a couple running in that very same state.

But he’s 100% on the money with the statement that game shows are here to stay. Players can’t seem to get enough of them. Americans are unlikely to be the exception.

Lightning Dice already taking bets in New Jersey

Lightning Dice is the one of Evo’s Lightning family of game shows. The family’s matriarch is Lightning Roulette which launched back in 2018. Other members include Lightning Blackjack and Lightning Baccarat. No doubt the whole family will make it stateside at some point.

Lightning is the name given to the random multiplies that are added to supersize regular payouts on these games. On Lightning Dice, win payouts up to 1000x are offered.

A near replica of the original Lightning Dice has been installed in Evolution’s New Jersey studio – complete with the Lightning Tower into which the dice are dropped. And they are being dropped as we speak!

More game variety in North American dealer studios

It was also announced this week (by Evolution) that they’ll be adding a bunch of high limit tables in their Vancouver studio.

VIP Live Blackjack and VIP Live Baccarat tables have been added for players at BCLC’s PlayNow.com casino (open to players in British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan).
