Who are Bombay Live?

Ever heard of Bombay Live?

We hadn’t until stumbling across one of their banners at an i-gaming news site. They’re another new provider looking to make their mark in the world of live dealer gaming.

With a name like Bombay Live, you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re based in India. Given uncertainties around regulation of online gambling in India, setting up shop there would be a bold move. Bold they might be, but based in India they are not.

Bombay Live takes its name from the bricks and mortar hotel and casino that it’s connected to – the Bombay Hotel in Tallinn, Estonia.

Fun fact: the Bombay Hotel lays claim to being Tallin’s oldest currently operating hotel, hosting guests since 1850. Fast forward to 2023, and Tallin’s oldest hotel must have had a few tech upgrades, because it is now also home to a live dealer studio streaming Bombay Live’s tables and dealers to players around the world.

Bombay Live aren’t the first live dealer operation to set up shop in Tallinn. Back in 2013 HoGaming, in partnership with Amaya (now Stars Group) opened a dealer studio location there. It has since closed.

Bombay Live Games

Bombay’s game range is pretty decent. A handful of baccarat tables, Dragon Tiger, Roulette, Andar Bahar, Teen Patti and a game not offered by any of the major providers – Bollywood Stars. All are set in a variety of opulent surrounds, largely thanks to chroma key technology.

Live Baccarat tables

You can choose from half a dozen baccarat tables, including speed deal, high roller and local language (Spanish and Japanese) options.

All can be played in either Commission or No Commission payouts mode.

Below is their Tokyo Baccarat table. 

The chroma key background is quite obvious on this one. Floor to ceiling glazing and a penthouse type elevation is not what you’re likely to be find in a building originally constructed in medieval times. You can also discern a slight chroma key effect where background meets dealer. Bit like a  Zoom meeting background, albeit a lot more convincing.

Baruto Baccarat is an unusual concept. In the background you have Baruto Kaito, Estonian politician and former professional sumo wrestler (what a CV!), celebrating wins and commiserating losses. Win or lose, this might get a little annoying after a while.

Things are a little more serious on the High Roller Baccarat table.

Bombay Live Roulette

In addition to the regular roulette table (pictured below), you can play their football themed table or Spanish dealer table, all with single zero wheels.

Indian Games

Players from India are well catered to and a clear target market. Indian Games is one of the categories in the Bombay Live Lobby.

Along with Andar Bahar and Teen Patti which we’re familiar with, they offer Bollywood Stars, shown below.

It’s another super simple game. After a burn card the dealer draws a single card. You are betting on the value of that card, with a range bets and payouts offered.
