    Isle of Man duty relief

IOM's Department of Economic Development is doing its bit to help licensees now being slugged with the UK POC

They've announced that the portion of revenues subject to the POC (ie UK resident source) will not also be subject to gambling duty previously payable to IOM's Treasury.

IOM is home to 56 licensed operators...comprising 13% of the Islands's economy. Doing everything they can to make sure operators don't decide to up and leave.

per head of e-Gaming Peter Greenhill...
This decision provides reassurance to Isle of Man licence holders so that they can continue to run their operations from data centres on the Isle of Man and base their decision making capabilities here as well so as to protect against any future claims under base erosion and profit shifting
'coz good old fashioned real random beats simulated random any day

    Some Isle of Man snippets...

    • Playtech's headquarters are located there.

    • Paddy Power recently announced they were switching their live casino regulatory body from the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission to the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
