Ivanka says US online gambling is just a matter of time

Forget I. Nelson Rose.
Don’t listen to Mark Balestra.
The American Gaming Association board members have no idea what they’re talking about.
The CEO’s of the world’s largest online gambling companies are completely in the dark.
If you really want to know what the future holds for online gambling in the United States then you need to ask Ivanka Trump. And the good news is, US licensed online casinos/poker rooms are a certainty, or as Ivanka puts it…“just a matter of time.”
But the news isn’t all good for the likes of William Hill, Bwin.Party, Ladbrokes et al, because while the American market is set to open up, it is also going to be dominated by the Trump brand according to Ivanka. She told Bloomberg/Business Week today that,
“In terms of the Internet, brand is essential toward attracting players…the Trump brand would be the most powerful one in this space.”
You’re probably wondering why Ivanka, 29 year daughter of the king of comb-overs – Donald Trump, is offering her insights on the prospects of the US online gambling industry? It’s because Bloomberg asked her in her capacity as Executive VP of Development and Acquisitions for the Trump Organization. Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. has teamed up with Marc Lasry’s Avenue Capital Group to form joint venture that will operate an online casino/poker room should the industry be legalized.
Lasry is known to be a fan of poker enjoying high stakes games and already has a controlling interest in Trump Entertainment after acquiring a 22% stake after the company went into bankruptcy in 2009.
The Don’s involvement in the casino industry is well known, having owned several major properties beginning with the Trump Plaza in 1984. Since then his various casino businesses have had to file for bankruptcy three times (1990, 2004, 2009).
Maybe he’ll have more success online?
