Looking for a dealer signature in roulette
If I told you I was looking for a roulette dealer’s signature you’d probably think I need to get a life right? I mean, just because live roulette is starting to get a pretty big online and television audience these days doesn’t mean that they’ve quite hit star status yet.
Thing is, a signature on a piece of paper isn’t exactly what I’m talking about. Rather, I’m referring to a dealer’s ball spinning style.
You see there’s a school of thought out there that some dealers, after many thousands of spins, subconsciously develop a rhythm that sees the ball come to rest in predictable wheel sections, relative its delivery spot. The trick as a player, is to identify croupiers that do have a definite signature, and use that to your advantage.
It’s a pretty hotly debated topic, with plenty of self proclaimed experts dismissing this as a roulette myth. But maybe they just haven’t been fortunate enough to find a dealer with a pronounced signature. For every skeptic, there is a believer who swears black and blue certain dealers allow you to predict which neighbours the little white ball will come to rest on with monotonous regularity.
I guess it can’t hurt to at least be conscious of where your dealer’s spins are starting and finishing and seeing if any clear patterns are emerging.
cheers
