Meet Sunny, the World’s First AI Blackjack Dealer

This week, crypto-casino BetHog announced that they’d just launched the world’s first AI powered blackjack dealer.

According to BetHog’s founders (who also co-founded FanDuel), Sunny is about to revolutionise the online gambling industry and fill a gap between live dealer and RNG games.

She’s never tired and yawny. She not only remembers your name but the entire conversation you had on your last playing session and is eager to continue it should you wish. She’s bright and sparky and always up for a chat. All while never missing a beat dealing the blackjack game.

Sunny is a proprietary creation of BetHog (a ‘BetHog Original’), described by co-founder and CEO Nigel Eccles as, ‘the first of a new class of dealers who is guaranteed to be witty, sharp and completely engaged in the game. This is what the future of online casinos looks like.

Should live dealers be worried they’re about to be replaced?

Influencers the world over were shocked and concerned that their days of commanding top dollar for being photogenic may be numbered when it was revealed that Insta-model Mia Zelu, with 168K followers and counting is an AI creation.

‘Good Lord, we’re screwed’, was Hollywood star Emily Blunt’s reaction when shown screen tests of aspiring actor Tilly Norwood.

Tilly is the creation of Eline Van der Velden and his AI production studio Particle6. Van der Velden introduced Tilly to the world at the Zurich Film Festival in September and she’s been making waves ever since. Apparently real-life agents are circling to sign and represent her. You can’t blame them. She does seem very talented.

As to whether AI powered blackjack dealer Sunny should be striking the same fear into her human counterparts, meet Sunny and you be the judge…

By the way, Sunny’s response, ‘Yup, all real shuffled decks-no funny business here!’, is to my question: “Do you deal real cards or virtual cards?”.  When told she was incorrect and did not deal physical playing cards, her response was…

Sunny isn’t blurring the lines between real and digi-fake like Mia and Tilly are.

No doubt there’ll soon be an AI dealer that does.
