Michigan, New Jersey Net Casinos Enjoy Record October
Online casinos in Michigan and New Jersey both set monthly revenue records for October 2024.
Michigan’s 15 licensed internet casinos led the charge with combined gross gaming revenues (GGR) of $220.7 million – a record monthly figure for Michigan and any US state.
New Jersey came in a close second with $213.6 million which is the state’s best ever figure, beating its previous record of $208 million set in September.
New Jersey’s iGaming figure also beat the $208.7 million generated from the states’s terrestrial casino operations. This is the first time online revenues have exceeded those generated from traditional land based gaming.
Michigan’s top earning online casinos
FanDuel was Michigan’s top earning online casino for the month taking $50.56 million in adjusted revenue ($56.17 million gross), beating out BetMGM by the barest of margins. These two operators share almost 50% of the market presently.

FanDuel also led the pack in New Jersey taking $48.3 million. DraftKings were in second place at $45.6 million.
Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino was the leading master licensee with their partner operators collectively taking $67.1 million. Golden Nugget’s authorised operators are FanDuel, Betway, BetRivers, Jackpot City and their own Golden Nugget online.

Pennsylvania’s top earning online casinos
Penn National’s Hollywood Casino is the player favourite in Pennsylvania, taking more than a third of the states total $189 million in revenue.

The three major US online casino states are all on a clear growth trajectory since mid 2024.
This follows a slide in revenues during the June quarter.
