Playing Live Dealer Games from Dubai
By rights this should be a very short post.
Reason being, my attempt to visit a few of my fave casinos during some down time in Dubai resulted in a whole of this…

…absolutely no play whatsoever.
Of course I suspected this may be the case, despite the fact that most casinos will accept play from Dubai residents (if they can get around the block that is).

Research into the status quo of Internet casinos in the United Arab Emirates a few years back suggested ISP’s here are told to apply some pretty broad and strict filters to internet content. Research is one thing. It is nice to experience the real deal in situ (and see that I wasn’t speaking total rubbish back then!). May try and make it to the the Jebal Ali free zone to see if access is indeed possible there.
Time to put the old laptop way for a couple of days and enjoy the sight sights and sounds of this very unique place! Desert 20 years ago. Metropolis on steroids today. In terms of rapid development it’s not unlike Macau’s Cotai which was a swamp a few years back and now dwarfs the Vegas Strip in table turnover inside its behemoth casinos. Key difference being there are no casinos in Dubai. But everything is very big; very glitzy; very new and sometimes very out of place (indoor ski slope?).
