West Bromwich Albion do deal with Bodog

Fans of the English Premier League, and in particular West Bromwich Albion – get ready to see a whole lot more of this logo over the next couple of years.

Bodog Europe are the new West Brom shirt sponsors; a deal worth £2 million over 2 years which is a record for the football club and the first time Bodog will get its logo on an EPL team shirt.  They also get a bit of signage space at the Hawthorns.

While Bodog Europe is the official sponsor, Bodog Asia will also be looking to capitalize on the brand exposure coming out of the world’s premier soccer league and MD Robert Gustafsson has already declared as much.

“It is hard to explain how big the Premier League is in Asia and this sponsorship will be enormously beneficial for us  in growing the brand’s profile in the region. I am therefore very grateful to Bodog Europe for signing this deal but from a brandpoint of view it also highlights the strength of a licensee model as regional marketing can have benefits beyond its borders.”
