5 Dimes 3rd party audit of returns

It’s no secret in the world of online gambling that there are some well regulated licensing jurisdictions, and then there are some pretty loosely regulated ones.  Few will argue that Costa Rica falls into the latter category.

In Costa Rica an online gambling license is an agreement with the government that you won’t market to local residents and that’s pretty much it.  Which isn’t to say every Costa Rican based casino is an unscrupulous operator…far from it.  But it does mean that they’re not subject to the same level scrutiny as operators licensed by White List regulators; they’re largely self regulated.

So it’s always nice to find operators in Costa Rica going that extra yard to prove their fair-play gaming chops.

We received a note from one of the few US-facing live casino operators,  5Dimes to say that they’ve just completed a third party audit of their game return to player rates.  The audit concluded that…

Overall, for the most recent data submitted, I can say that XTECH is offering fair games of chance, and the outcomes fall within statistical expectations.” Michael Shackleford.

It should be be noted that Xtech is the software that powers 5Dimes random number generator games.  Their live games are powered Global Gaming Labs and I don’t believe the audit extended to these games, but I’m getting confirmation of this, and whether an audit of the live games is pending.

Nice one 5Dimes.

OK so this is disappointing. The last XTECH audit took place in 2003 and I have since learned that Michael Shackleford has not audited them since, nor does he have plans to do so in the near future.

So not exactly sure which (if any) audit was just completed.

5Dimes you need to be transparent and NOT misleading on these matters!
