Betsafe launches live roulette app for Apple TV

Here’s something a little different.

Against the tide of taking all games mobile, Betsafe have decided to go bigger, having just launched a live roulette app for Apple TV.

Part of the Betsson group of gambling sites, Betsafe now proclaim on their new Apple TV page (served to Swedish visitors only):

“We are always looking for new ways to make your gaming experience better, and with our new cool Apple TV app, so we have really succeeded! We are proud to introduce the industry’s first and unique app for the game world, all to maximize your gaming experience”

To play it, you’ll need an Apple TV (those little black boxes that plug into your TV…costing around $100 or so), and for the time being at least, you’ll also need to reside in Sweden.

If you tick these boxes, all you need to do is download the app to your Apple TV, open it and then follow the prompts…

Login to your Betsafe account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need your mobile or computer to create one (cannot register via the TV app)

Without too much fuss you’ll be playing live roulette (European, single zero) on your 65 inch TV.

Betsafe hopes to make the new product available to players outside Sweden in due course. How fast this happens (if at all) will obviously depend on its success in Sweden and then on regulatory hurdles in other markets.
