2018 EGR B2B Award Winners

The 2018 EGR B2B Awards took place last night at London’s Hurlingham Club.

As distinct from EGR’s Operator Awards, the B2B Awards are the night for suppliers to the industry to shine; the guys who provide the technology to the likes of bet365, 888, Unibet so that they can part us with our hard earned in the most enjoyable way possible.

An EGR selected judging panel of 23 industry heavyweights were given the task of picking the best of the best in a range of award categories, giving consideration to the following criteria, as appropriate:

  • reliability
  • innovation
  • product development
  • flexibility
  • scalability
  • integration
  • delivery, and
  • user interface/user experience

The category we’re always interested in is of course Live Casino Supplier of the Year.

No longer a new category, 2018 marks the 9th time the Live Casino Supplier of the Year award has been handed out (that went fast!).  To date there has only been one winner…Evolution Gaming.

Evolution were again on this year’s shortlist, along with other names familiar to us: PlaytechNetEntAuthentic GamingExtreme Live Gaming, BBIN, Medialive, BetConstruct and Ezugi.

There was no upset. Evolution was named Live Casino Supplier of the Year for 2018.

EGR B2B is by no means all about live gaming, with awards handed out across a total 38 categories.

Platform of the Year is the big one, and this went to Playtech which would have gone a long way to helping them forget about being a runner up in the live category for the 9th consecutive year. NeTent took the chocolates for Innovation in Mobile, while Microgaming (once a contender in the live game category) was awarded best Poker network.

Congratulations to the winners. Commiserations to the losers.
