2021 Global Gaming Awards winners

The 2021 Global Gaming Awards slipped by without the usual fanfare last week.

Owing to London venue restrictions it was a Youtube streamed affair. If you have an hour to kill you can watch the awards below.

Anyway, congrats to all award winners.

As always, the shortlists and eventual winners included many of the usual suspects.

In the Online Casino of the Year category, 888, Leo Vegas, Mr Green and Paf were all on the shortlist. Leo Vegas took the chocolates. In the Online Casino Supplier of the Year category the shortlist included Evolution and Pragmatic Play (Playtech conspicuously absent), with Evolution taking the award. As such, the 2021 winners list was a carbon copy of 2020 in these 2 categories.

Other winners included bet365 in the category of Online Sports Betting Operator of the Year, while Evolution Group subsidiaries NetEnt and Red Tiger won product awards for their Divine Fortune™ video slot game and Gonzo’s Quest™ (which has also evolved to a ‘Live Game’) rspectively.

The oxymoron award for most Socially Responsible Operator of the Year went to Kindred/Unibet.

Evolution’s Director of Product, Fredrik Bjurle, was understandably chuffed at his organisation’s strong showing at the awards.

“The Evolution Group is now a powerhouse, with best in-class know-how and technology across Live Casino, RNG table games and slots. We are leveraging the three Evolution, NetEnt and Red Tiger brands using the excellent IP, such as the famous slots game character, Gonzo, from slots to live, and adding new features such as Megaways™.”
