Bodog Asia closes its doors to Korean players

bodog-korea-closedAnother day, another change to a casino’s accepted players policy.

This one’s a little different though.

Normally it’s a European based operator adjusting policy to suit changes to fragmented cross-EU country laws, regulations and interpretations. A moving feast to say the least!

This time, it’s a primarily Asian market facing operator (Bodog88) closing it’s doors to one of its bread and butter regional markets…Korea (South).

The general approach from the Asian based casinos seems to be if the markets grey, that’s OK. No players accepted from where they’re licensed and based (usually Philippines) and pretty much everything else is on the table.

The following notification came through today…

“We apologize for the inconvenience, but Bodog Asia will no longer offer services in Korea.

“…players can still withdraw their funds after April 10 by sending an email to [email protected] or by contacting the Bodog Customer Team”

No more Bodog Girls for Korean players.

A little less Gangnam style for the Bodog Girls.
