Boosted returns on Pragmatic’s Privé Lounge Blackjack Tables

Pragmatic Play have made a couple of rule changes on their Privé Lounge Blackjack tables, resulting in boosted returns and added suspense.

Two new features: Face Down Double Down and Split After Split have now been introduced across all these VIP limit tables.

Split After Split

This is the main change – the one that actually makes a difference to the games theoretical return.

Players are now able to Split pairs that are dealt to an already Split hand. The ability to Split after Split, or Re-Split has it’s most commonly known, provides an additional advantage to players, lifting the return to player (RTP) of the game to 99.51%.

The ability to re-split hands in live blackjack is rare. Most tables only allow pairs to be Split on the initial hand dealt. The ability to re-split puts Pragmatic’s Privé Lounge tables amongst of the lowest house edge live blackjack tables online.

Face Down Double Down

With this new rule, when a player chooses to Doubles-Down they receive their card face down and it is only revealed after the Dealer’s hand is resolved.

The conventional blackjack deal sees doubled-down cards dealt to the player hand face-up. This change make no difference to game outcome or RTP, but it does add a different element to players’ suspense or anticipation of a win.

Privé Lounge Blackjack

These changes have only been implemented on Pragmatic’s Privé Lounge Blackjack tables, not across all blackjack tables.

Pragmatic’s Privé Lounge Blackjack tables are designed for VIP players. Limits are high, and access is restricted to players with a minimum account balance (€1000). The tables also give players a little more control over the game environment with the ability to request a dealer change, or dealer session extension.
