Live dealer Switch Blackjack from Creedroomz
This is Creedroomz live dealer Switch Blackjack table.
It’s one of the only switch blackjack tables you can play live online. This is a blackjack variation yet to be offered by the major providers (Evolution, Pragmatic etc as at June 2025).
What is Switch Blackjack?
Switch Blackjack or Blackjack Switch, introduces three significant rule differences to the classic 7 seat blackjack game.
- The ability to switch hands…improving your chances of winning
In this game, players are dealt two hands rather than one. Take a seat and you’ll be playing two hands not one. After each hand receives the initial 2 cards you have the option to switch the 2nd card dealt to each hand, potentially improving the chances of either or both hands of winning. - Blackjack (Ace + 10 card) is still the best hand but only pays even money rather than 3:2
- When the Dealer busts on 22, the bet pushes rather than wins.
The first rule offers a big advantage to players. Although (as a newbie to the game) it also adds more complexity to your decision making process. The second and third rules chip away at this advantage. But played optimally this is a very high returning game. Indeed Creedroomz version claims a 99.8% return to player (RTP) for optimal play.
Hands are then played out in turn according to the particular table’s blackjack house rules, which for Creedroomz’ version are detailed below.
Playing Creedroomz Blackjack Switch
The first thing you’ll notice when you take a seat and select a chip at Creedroomz switch blackjack table, is that your selected chip is placed at 2 betting positions. A €5 chip becomes a €10 starting bet stake.
Both hands then receive the initial two cards.

First decision: Switch or Skip
The first decision you are presented with is whether to Switch, or Skip. This particular hand presented a dream switch opportunity to make a pair of Blackjacks.
Not switching and splitting the Aces (one of golden rules of blackjack) may have been the optimal play however. This is an example of the added complexity this game brings.

If you Switch, dealer swaps the 2nd cards over
With the decision to Switch, the dealer physically swaps the the seconds card dealt to each hand.
After Switch or Skip you simply play out your hands, as per the game’s house rules. Which for this game are:
- Dealt (US style) from an 8 deck shoe
- Dealer stand all 17s
- You can Double Down any 2 initial cards
- Double Down not permitted after Splitting
- You can Split any cards of equal value
- Split Aces only draw 1 card
- No re-splits
- Insurance offered
- Blackjack pays 1:1
- Player’s bet is returned when the Dealer busts with a score of 22

Not a bad start to Switch Blackjack
Switch Blackjack side bets
Creed offer a couple of side bets on their table. As always, the RTP on these bets is far inferior to the main game. You’re better served ignoring them and devoting all your energy to getting your head around nailing that all important switch decision.
Nevertheless, the side bets are:
- Super Match side bet – which wins if the initial 4 cards of Player’s both hands form a pair. Payout increases for 2 pair, best payout for 4 of a kind.
- 4 + 1 side bet – which wins if the initial 4 cards of Player’s both hands and Dealer’s one open card of the first hand form a poker hand, with best payout for Royal Flush.
Switch Blackjack RTP
Theoretical return on main game on this table is 99.8% if you play optimally. Easier said than done because you must:
- first make the correct Switch decision, and then
- play out your hands according to basic strategy.
On the switch decision, Wiki’s page offers some suggestions.
