Mansion Casino announces closure
Mansion Casino have announced they will be closing to players by the end of October.
A message to affiliates yesterday advised that,
“After careful consideration and evaluation of our business operations, we have made the difficult decision to close B2C operations of our gaming brands, Casino.com and MansionCasino.com.
As a consequence, we regret to inform you that we will be ceasing gaming operations on both Casino.com and MansionCasino.com on the 26th of October 2023 at 09:00 CET.”
All MansionCasino players have been asked to withdraw any funds remaining in their accounts by 31 December 2023.
Back in January this year, the Mansion group made the decision to surrender its UK licenses for both Casino.com and MansionCasino.com with the aim of focusing efforts on other licensed markets, notably Spain and Ontario. A year earlier they made the decision to close their MansionBet sportsbook in the UK with the stated aim of concentrating on the casino business.
It seems neither change of direction has had the desired result.
Both brands had been operating in the UK and other markets around the world for almost 20 years (MansionCasino founded 2004, Casino.com 2007).
Investment in Mansion brand recognition in the UK and Europe over the years has been considerable with a number of high profile sponsorships and partnerships in the EPL in particular.
In 2006 Mansion became shirt sponsors of Tottenham Hotspur. In 2011 they were named Manchester City’s international betting partner. 2015 saw sponsorship deals with both AFC Bournemouth & Crystal Palace FC sponsors, and they were named Newcastle United betting partner in 2019.
