Pragmatic Play live dealer Sic Bo

Pragmatic Play now offer a live Sic Bo table. You can play it a most casinos carrying Pragmatic’s live games.

It joins their Mega Sic Bo table which has been taking bets since 2020, and which by the way is still being offered (Mega Sic Bo includes random random multipliers).

Typically live game providers will start with the original version of a casino game before offering a modified version with random payout multipliers. Pragmatic for some reason decided to do things in reverse when it comes to Sicbo.

How to Pragmatic Play Sic bo

Pragmatic Play’s live Sic Bo is a live dealer version the traditional Chinese dice game in which players bet on the outcome of a roll of three dice. Bets are offered on various combinations and totals of the dice, with fixed payouts for each bet type.

Pragmatic’s live Sic Bo table gives you an ample 15 seconds to get your bets on at the beginning of the bet round.

Pragmatic’s Sic Bo bet selector

The bet selector is reasonably self explanatory but a here’s a quick description of each bet.

  • SMALL (1:1): A bet on the total sum of the three dice being between 4 and 10 (excluding any triples).
  • BIG (1:1): A bet on the total sum of the three dice being between 11 and 17 (excluding any triples).
  • ODD (1:1): A bet on the dice total being an odd number (excludes triples).
  • EVEN (1:1): A bet on the dice total being an odd number (excludes triples)
  • DOUBLE (12:1): A bet on a specific double (e.g., two 5s).
  • TRIPLE (210:1): A bet on a specific triple (e.g., three 5s).
  • ANY TRIPLE (34:1): A bet on any triple (three identical numbers) appearing on the dice, regardless of which number it is.
  • 3 DICE TOTAL: A bet on the sum total of the three dice, with varying payouts based on the chosen total between 4 and 17.
  • 2 DICE COMBINATION (6:1): A bet involving selecting two specific numbers, and winning if those two numbers appear on two of the three dice.
  • SINGLE: A bet predicting a specific number (1 to 6) appearing and pays depending on whether it appears on one (1:1), two (2:1), or all three dice (15:1), respectively.

A very simple game indeed. And, it should be said, beautifully presented by Pragmatic Play.

A closer look at Pragmatic Play SicBo payouts and bet returns

I’ve often thought of Sic Bo as a dice version of Roulette. But whereas the payouts offered for all the standard roulette bets do not vary from one table to the next, this is not the case with Sic Bo. Payouts for the different bets DO tend to vary from one live Sic Bo table to the next.

Our Live Sic Bo page compares payouts for each offered from one provider to the next, which is worth a look if this is your game.

This also means, the optimal bet from a theoretical return perspective will be different from one table to the next.

On Pragmatic Play’s live Sic Bo table the value bet is ‘3 DICE TOTAL’ (either 4 or 17) returning 98.61% to players in the long run.

Bet Payout Return To Player
BIG/SMALL 1:1 97.22%
ODD/EVEN 1:1 97.22%
DOUBLE 12:1 96.30%
SPECIFIC TRIPLE 210:1 97.69%
ANY TRIPLE 34:1 97.22%
3 DICE TOTAL:
4 or 17 70:1 98.61%
5 or 16 34:1 97.22%
6 or 15 20:1 97.22%
7 or 14 13:1 97.22%
8 or 13 9:1 97.22%

SINGLE:

On Double 2:1 97.69%

On this table, stay away from the 3 Dice Total of 9, 10, 11 or 12 bets. Most other bets are not too costly.
