Trusting your luck on Friday the 13th?

Do you suffer from friggatriskaidekaphobia?  It’s a fear of Friday the 13th and apparently 21 million Americans are affected by it.

According to many, and with not a little support from historical events, this is a very bad day.

Fridays on their own aren’t always thought of as overly auspicious…think crucifixions, momentous stock market crashes and more recently (and relevant to online gambling)  DOJ/FBI indictments.  The term ‘Black Friday‘ has definitely developed a certain ring to it.

As for 13; everyone knows this is a number to be avoided.  Even the wise and learned pay it healthy respect (how many architects refuse to have a Thirteenth Floor on their modern buildings?).

Combine Friday and 13 and you’ve got a recipe for disaster – just ask the poor old Knights Templar.

So for the superstitious among you…is this a day you try your hand at a real money game of chance? I did with a very short game of blackjack that had me think maybe this whole Friday the 13th thing isn’t just a total bunch of malarkey.  I’ll sit things out until Saturday I think.

Oh, and if you think trusting in a rabbits foot is going to help you…just consider that it didn’t exactly work for the rabbit!

Have a great weekend all!
