In the Hot Seat

Back home after a pleasant dinner and a few Friday night bevvies under the belt. What’s on the he telly? Should be able to find something watchable out of 200 or so channels.

Let’s see…on Eurosport there’s a US Open shriekfest between Caroline Wozniacki and another screamer.  CNN, CNBC, BBC World, Fox News and Euronews are showing the same doom and gloom from Ukraine, Gaza and Iraq from slightly different angles. Nothing appears to have changed since last week. Or the week before.

There’s Modern Family dubbed into Spanish on AXN; some shoot-em-up action flick starring Denzel Washington on Canal+1, also dubbed into Spanish; all the acronym crime shows (CSI, SVU etc) also dubbed into Spanish. I couldn’t follow most of these in English. What chance do I have now? Same goes for Game of Thrones…which is also on offer, dubbed into Spanish of course.

Breaking Bad en Espanol? I could almost give this a crack. Bryan Cranston’s face pretty much says it all.

Nothing really grabbing me and saying watch me!

So I decide to break one of the golden rules of gambling. Doing it drunk. Don’t really care because I’m pretty sure there’s a blackjack hot seat with my name on it!

Hmm Elza’s giving me some kind of secret signal. I just don’t understand what she means (feels like watching telly)
