Betsson goes to single wallet account

If, like some people, you happen to have a few dozen active casino accounts then you’ll identify with this problem.

Multiple accounts within each operator. For example, a general account balance, a sports betting  balance, a casino balance and sometimes even multiple casino balances applying to different areas of the casino. Live Casino is often one of these different areas.

You can understand why this is the case. The sports betting software has a back-end account keeping system that doesn’t readily talk to the back-end of the casino software which comes from another supplier(s). And given operators these days seem to want to have many gambling options from a large range of software suppliers a single seamless account for customers is no doubt a tricky thing to provide.

Now in the scheme of things (Typhoon Haiyan etc) this is a VERY minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless. Aside from the hassle of having to mess around with internal transfers, it gets pretty easy to lose track of what cash you’ve got where. Again..probably not an issue if you play at one or two casinos.

Here’s a case in point.

It wasn’t until Betsson advised me they’d moved to a single wallet that I realized actually how much I had stashed away with them (or loosely translated… hadn’t yet lost).

Betsson single wallet

Not sure about the maths here, but no complaints. Perhaps some EUR also came in from the sports betting account that I transferred into from the base account 3 years ago had a couple of wins and then forgot about?

The upside to a single account is obvious. Convenience, simplicity, clarity. The more operators that adopt single account wallets the better.

Well done Betsson. It should also be mentioned that their cash out process (2 clicks and a few seconds to get the ball rolling) has been streamlined also.

The downside to finding out you have 4 figures in your account…
