Evolution’s Crazy Pachinko live slot

Crazy Pachinko is another spin off of Evolution’s wildly successful Crazy Time game show.

Crazy Pachinko is to Crazy Time, as the sitcom Frazier is to Cheers – just way less entertaining. But that probably won’t stop players flocking to this game show in their droves because few have failed to find a big audience.

Crazy Pachinko is Crazy Time spin off number 2. Number 1 was Crazy Coin flip. Their format is very similar. For both you need to play a 5 reel, 3 row slot game to qualify through the to bonus game where you find the live presenters and potential for big payouts.

Crazy Pachinko slot

If you don’t like slot games, move on now. That’s essentially what this ‘live’ game is; a 5 reel, 3 row slot with 10 fixed pay-lines, 7 paying symbols and a scatter symbol.

My eyes glaze over as soon as I see a button that says ‘SPIN’. But spin you must if you want to qualify for the namesake Pachinko Bonus round.

Qualification comes by landing 3 scatter symbols (which can also be assigned multipliers which will apply to the bonus game payout). Landing 3 scatters can be quite a time consuming and costly thing to do.

Evolution give you the option of saving time (but not money) by activating the XXXRTEME spin mode, where you can either:

  • XXXRTEME spin: pay a little extra (15x your base bet) for a guaranteed 1 scatter per spin (thus only needing to land 2 more), or
  • Feature Buy: pay a lot extra (75x your base bet) for 3 scatters and a guaranteed bonus game.

Bear in mind, the eventual bonus game multiplier will be applied to your base bet amount. So you’ll be wanting more than 75x payout from the bonus game if you’re choosing Feature Buy.

In the example round pictured (with XXXRTEME spin mode activated), the 3 CrazyP scatters required to win through to the Pachinko bonus game are eventually landed…

The Pachinko Bonus game

When you qualify for the Pachinko bonus game you’re finally greeted by some live presenters, and a big Pachinko wall.

At the base of the wall (the landing zone) are 16 random multipliers (10x to 200x). A puck is dropped from the top of the wall, bouncing down through the pins until coming to rest on one of these multipliers, to decide your bonus game payout.

The Top Up Round

If you win through to the Pachinko bonus game with time to spare until the game starts, you also have the opportunity to play a 16 reel slot ‘Top Up round’. This is optional. For a price, you get a randomly generated multiplier (2x up to 10,000x) that adds (not multiplies!) to your Pachinko bonus game multiplier.

Final Multiplier calculation and payout

The final bonus round payout will be equal to you base bet multiplied by:

[Scatter multipliers] x [Pachinko bonus multipliers] + [Pachinko Top Up multiplier]

Crazy Pachinko Return to Player

Some would say 96% is a pretty good return for a slot game. Others would counter by saying you don’t have to play a slot game. Whichever way you look at it, here are the theoretical returns by bet option.

Bet RTP
Normal Spins 96.04%
XXXTreme Spin 96.05%
Feature Buy 96.04%
Top Up 95.01%

If you are going to play this game, the one piece of advice that emerges from this table – don’t be lured into playing the Top Up round.
