Crazy Balls Live from Evolution

Crazy Balls is another Crazy Time spinoff from Evolution. It’s the third Crazy spinoff, following Crazy Pachinko and Crazy Coin Flip.

Crazy Balls comes with the same four bonus games helping contribute to Crazy Time’s phenomenal popularityCoin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko, and Crazy Time. But the main game outcomes and path to the bonus games are driven by a ball draw rather than a big wheel.

Where to play Crazy Balls

Crazy Balls is offered at most casinos carrying Evolution’s live games. Our faves…

How to Play Crazy Balls

Crazy Balls can be thought of as a 4-card bingo game, plus chances of winning through to 1 of 4 bonus games.

The aim of the game betting regular cards: match numbers on your cards with those drawn, with payouts for each completed 5-number line. For bets on the bonus game cards, match the numbers assigned to each of the cards and the bet carries to the bonus game.

Crazy Balls bets

There are 8 bet spots to place your chips on:

  • either of the 4 regular cards left side of the bet map, and/or
  • either of the 4 bonus game tickets

The regular cards are designated as a Free Space card (red) or Multi card (yellow).

A Free Space card guarantees the centre square acting as a drawn number, increasing your chances of completing lines. A Multi card guarantees the centre square acting as a multiplier, increasing your chances of a higher payout on completed lines.

A selector on each card lets you switch between Free Space or Multi. The default is 2 each as pictured above. The same return to player (RTP) applies to either but outcome volatility (fewer but bigger payouts) will be higher on Multi cards.

Crazy Balls daubs & multipliers

Once bets are placed:

  • numbers (1 through 60) are randomly assigned to fill each of 5×5 regular cards,
  • numbers (1 through 60) are randomly assigned to the bonus game cards with:
    – 3 numbers to Coin Flip
    – 4 numbers to Cash Hunt
    – 4 numbers to Pachinko
    – 5 numbers to Crazy Time
  • daubs are randomly assigned across all cards acting as draw matches, and
  • multipliers are randomly assigned across all cards.

The base payout for each completed line on a regular card is 3x the bet on that card. Any completed line including a randomly assigned multiplier will elevate this payout. Multipliers applied to bonus game cards multiply the bonus game payout.

There are 3 different types of multipliers which act differently to boost card payouts: Standard (10x or 20x), Line (20x or 50x), Global (2x or 3x). More details on the different multipliers may be read in the games house rules.

The Crazy Balls Draw

Each round the Crazy Balls machine draws 20 from 60 numbered balls. Don’t worry…the numbers are drawn rapidly.

Red daubs are placed where drawn numbers match those on the cards.

Each line completed on the regular cards (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) leads to payout.

The Crazy Balls Bonus Games

Match all the numbers assigned to one of the bonus game cards and your bet on that card carries to the bonus game. If you didn’t have a bet on the bonus game card, you’re just spectating on the bonus game.

We’ve seen all the bonus games before, they’re the same as those on Crazy Time. Four different games, each with the same purpose – arriving at a bet payout.

  • Coin Flip
Coin Flip presents players with a choice of a red or blue. Once choices are made, multipliers are assigned to each colour and a red and blue-sided coin is flipped. The coin is physical, launched by the host at the push of a button. If you picked the resulting colour you win that payout.
  • Cash Hunt
Aim and shoot one of the 108 symbols on the Cash Hunt wall reveal a multiplier value hidden behind.
  • Pachinko
No decision to make here. Just watch the (physical) puck drop down the pachinko wall and end up at either of the 16 different multiplier values at the wall’s base.
  • Crazy Time
The Crazy Time 64-segment, 3-flapper wheel is spun for a multiplier outcome.

Crazy Balls Return to Player

If you’re looking for good returns, look elsewhere. All the bets offered on Crazy Balls come offer a relatively low return to player (RTP).

Bet RTP
Regular Card – Free Space 96.10%
Regular Card – Multi 96.10%
Coin Flip 96.49%
Cash Hunt 96.09%
Pachinko 95.68%
Crazy Time 95.54%

Betting Coin Flip is the strategically best bet on this game. Some would argue that if you’re strategically minded, you’d be far better served playing live baccarat or live blackjack or some other higher returning live game.
