How to find hot roads playing live baccarat

Players who follow baccarat roadmaps will be happy to know that hot roads are very easy to find playing live online these days. If you know which tables to play that is.

Both Evolution and Pragmatic Play display the roadmaps for all currently available baccarat tables in their games lobbies. What’s more, at the click of a button tables can be filtered to show those with good roads or hot roads.

This makes finding hot roads pretty easy.

What’s a baccarat roadmap?

In the game of baccarat, a “road” or “roadmap” refers to a way of tracking the outcomes of recently dealt hands to look for patterns. You can read our baccarat roadmap manual for full details on what they are and how they are constructed.

There are a few different roads. The Big Road is one commonly used. It’s the road displayed by both Evolution and Pragmatic in their baccarat games lobby.

The Big Road shows Player wins (blue circle) and Banker wins (red circle) with streaks in columns so they’re easy to see.

A green line through a circle represents a Tie following the Player or Banker win and doesn’t end the column. A red dot tells us a pair was dealt to the Banker hand. A Player pair is marked with a blue dot.

Finding Hot Roads playing live baccarat

In the Evolution baccarat lobby, simply click the Hot Roads button. All tables are then ordered from hottest top left.

Click Good Roads in Pragmatic’s baccarat lobby and they display what they consider to be the hot tables.

What is a Hot Road?

All this begs a couple or crucial questions.

1. what constitutes a good or hot road, and
2. will they help you win?

Roadmap devotees are looking for visible trends or streaks, such as a sequence of consecutive Banker or Player wins. The bigger the streak, the hotter the road.

A hot Big Road would be one showing a big Player or Banker win column. This is exactly how Evolution have ordered their hot tables, from hottest table with an 8 Banker win streak down.

Pragmatic take a slightly different approach. Yes, tables with consecutive wins streaks are considered good roads. But so are tables showing other patterns, like a run of alternating Player/Banker wins. They highlight the patterns justifying good road status.

As for whether a hot road helps you win, the jury is definitely out. Conventional wisdom says that baccarat is not a countable game (unlike blackjack). Past outcomes, no matter how they are presented, do not help predict future results.  Many argue that roadmaps in baccarat are about as useful at predicting future outcomes as stats provided on a roulette table are for that game (that is, not at all).

But for those who believe otherwise, you know where to find them.
