How to play Dragon Tiger Phoenix

The aim of the Dragon Tiger Phoenix is to pick which of the three positions will be dealt the highest card. The deal is from manually shuffled 8-deck shoe and as for Dragon Tiger, Aces are low and suits don’t matter.

So card values, from lowest to highest are: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K.

Bet options are:

• Dragon, Tiger or Phoenix: all paying 1.8:1
• Tie: paying 7:1 (2 card Tie) or 20:1 (3 card Tie)

Once bets close the dealer deals a single card face down to each of the positions in order Dragon, Tiger, then Phoenix.

The cards are then flipped to reveal the winning position.

Tie bet outcomes

With the 3 cards out on the table an extra dimension is added to Tie bet outcomes. A 2-card or 3-card Tie is possible and each sees a different payout for Tie bets, and the treatment Dragon, Tiger or Phoenix bets, as follows

• In the event of a 2 card Tie: Tie bets pay 7:1 & bets on Dragon, Tiger or Phoenix return 1:1.
• In the event of a 3 card Tie: Tie bets pay 20:1 & bets on Dragon, Tiger or Phoenix are lost.
