New Czech studio for Playtech, 2025 Live Game Roadmap for Evolution

Just weeks into the new year and the festive season is well and truly in the rear vision mirror. It’s back to business with new games and studio launch announcements.

Last week Playtech announced they had launched their latest live casino studio, located in Zlín, Czech Republic. The studio is a joint venture with the SYNOT Group who are a casino games developer providing games to both the online and land based casino industries.

SYNOT bring strong market presence and local knowledge to the partnership. They are headquartered in the Czech Republic and have been supplying games to the local casino industry there for over 30 years.

The studio will house both dedicated (casino branded) tables and network (all-access) tables. It will be staffed by native Czech speaking dealers allowing for a gaming experience tailored to the local playing market.

Playtech’s Sales Director Stefan Svec had the following to say of the new studio:

By combining our expertise and market knowledge, we will deliver a tailored Live offering that meets and exceeds the expectations of SYNOT Group’s customers. This collaboration enables us to provide exceptional gaming experiences to their customers across the Czech Republic.”

Lawmakers in the Czechia made some major amendments to the country’s Gambling Act at the beginning of 2024. Pertinent to the live games niche was the addition of live dealer games to the closed catalogue of permitted gambling categories.

Providers and operators have been moving quickly since to offer regulated live games for Czech players. Evolution narrowly beat Playtech to the punch, launching their Czech studio in October last year. Evolution’s studio is on the outskirts of Prague.

Speaking of Evolution, as has become customary, they’ve used the ICE gaming exhibition as a vehicle for unveiling their 2025 new games roadmap.

As usual it’s an ambitious schedule.

Over 110 games are planned for release during 2025. Although this number includes launches from all eight Evolution group companies, with the majority comprising RNG games from NetEnt, Red Tiger, and Big Time Gaming.

Considering live games only, we’ve already seen Always 8 Baccarat. It will soon be joined by a slew of new game shows from Evolution:

• Ice Fishing, described as “a speed game show and Evolution’s coolest virtual money wheel game to date”.
• Marble Race, where you’re betting on marbles hurled around a custom race track.
• Fireball Roulette, borrowing from the Lightning Storm Fireball bonus game and touted (by Evolution) to be 2025’s hottest game.
• Lightning Bac Bo, adding to Evolution’s Lightning family of multiplier games.
• Red Baron,
• Super Colour Game, and
• War

There will also be a few new titles from subsidiary Ezugi:

• Revolution Roulette, which was included in the roadmap but went live last year.
• Triple Zero Roulette – not sure we like the sound of this!
• EZ Bingo
