Revolution Roulette Live from Ezugi

Revolution Roulette

This is Revolution Roulette, launched by Ezugi during 2024.

Revolution Roulette is another roulette-based multiplier game. It’s Ezugi’s second game in this category, joining Ultimate Roulette which went live in April 2023.

In Ultimate Roulette (and most other multipliers games) multipliers are computer generated. Revolution Roulette takes a very different approach, relying entirely on the physical roulette wheel and ball to decide the multiplier values and when they are applied.

Revolution Roulette Multipliers

The Revolution Roulette wheel isn’t a standard 37-pocket European Roulette wheel. Rather, it’s been altered to include three additional ‘multiplier pockets’, designated:

  • 2x multiplier,
  • 3x multiplier, and
  • 5x multiplier

Should the ball drop into one of these pockets, all bets remain on the table for the next spin where the payout for any win is multiplied accordingly.

Example:

  • $1 Straight Up bet on 32, payout 28:1* (or 29x)
  • Spin result: ball lands in 2x multiplier pocket
  • Chips for all bets remain on the table
  • Next spin: ball lands on 32
  • Payout becomes 2 x 29 x $1= $58

* note 28:1 is different to the Straight Up payout for regular roulette which is 35:1.
Payouts for all bets on Revolution Roulette are different (lower) than the regular payout.
You can see how they differ in the table below.

Should the next spin result in another multiplier, the multipliers multiply and are applied to payouts on the following spin. Top multiplier is 25x from successive 5x multiplier results.

The three new multiplier pockets are spaced evenly around the wheel. The order of the 27 numbered pockets, zero through 36 is the same as on a European Roulette wheel. So the same neighbours bets (race track provided) apply.

Playing Revolution Roulette

Revolution Roulette place bets

During betting time you’re presented with the familiar roulette table (and racetrack for neighbours bets) to place your chips. At this point you’d be forgiven for thinking you’re playing a regular old live European Roulette table.

The first significant difference is only evident when you check the payouts for each bet in the game’s rules (or after a win pays less than you expect!).

Revolution Roulette European Roulette
Bet Payout RTP Payout RTP
Straight Up 28:1 96.04% 35:1 97.3%
Split 13.5:1 95.41% 17:1 97.3%
Street 8.5:1 93.11% 11:1 97.3%
Corner 6.5:1 97.48% 8:1 97.3%
6-Line 4:1 96.22% 5:1 97.3%
Column 1.6:1 96.43% 2:1 97.3%
Dozen 1.6:1 96.43% 2:1 97.3%
Red/Black 0.8:1 96.65% 1:1 97.3%
Odd/Even 0.8:1 96.65% 1:1 97.3%
1-18/19-36 0.8:1 96.65% 1:1 97.3%

The payout for every bet has been decreased from the European Roulette equivalent.

Because all bets stand a chance of being multiplied, all payouts have to be adjusted to preserve the house edge across all bets.

It’s worth noting that the adjustments have resulted in variation in the theoretical return by bet type. There is now a clear value bet – corner. The corner bet covers 4 adjacent numbers on the table, as in the example round.

Revolution Roulette 5x

With a 5x hit, the the chips remain in place for the multiplied payout spin. Should any of them win,

  • rather than the prescribed 6.5:1, or 7.5x = $7.50 collect,
  • the payout becomes 5 x 7.5 = 37.5x for a $37.50 collect

Revolution Roulette Playing Strategy

Strategy for Revolution Roulette is pretty simple:

  • stick to corner bets and you will enjoy better returns in the long run than European Roulette.
  • all other bets offer inferior returns and should be avoided – Street (93.11%) and Split (95.41%) in particular.

Quick refresher…
Street: a 3-number selection with chip placed on the edge of 3-number row, eg below 10, 11, 12
Split: a 2-number selection with chip placed between 2 numbers, eg below 2, 5
