Pragmatic adds baccarat payout mode switch

pragmatic baccarat switch payout mode

Pragmatic Play have added a new feature to all their baccarat tables making it super easy for players to switch between payouts modes on the main game.

Now with a single button click on any of Pragmatic’s live baccarat tables you can switch from standard baccarat payouts to No Commission payouts, or visa versa. No need to close the table. No need to open the lobby to choose a different table.

A recently added button left of the chip selector becomes active during betting time. When it’s clicked the main game payout mode instantly changes.

The main game payout modes you can switch between are:

  • Baccarat (standard):
    Banker 0.95:1, Player 1:1, Tie 8:1, or
  • No Commission Baccarat:
    Banker 1:1 (unless Banker value 6 then 0.5:1), Player 1:1, Tie 8:1
Super 6 bet added 15:1 (bet on Banker win value 6)

Pragmatic have long offered the choice of both payout modes. But until this update, each table came with a set mode. If you wanted to change mode, you had to change your table.

Not that this was the hardest thing to do given the live mini lobby opens in your game window. But now it’s even easier.

One advantage is the ability to change payout mode while staying with the present dealer and shoe if either or both are favourable. The other obvious advantage – their range of available tables in either payout mode is doubled from 50% to 100% of their baccarat tables. A simple way of increasing table variety without actually adding more tables.

The baccarat payout mode switch isn’t new. We saw it introduced on Playtech’s live baccarat tables some time ago. Pragmatic’s adoption suggests the Playtech experiment has been well received.

It will be interesting to see whether Evolution decide to follow suit.

They already have an overwhelming number of baccarat tables to choose from. They also seem to be putting a priority on more physical tables and deals (combined with a smart lobby) to give players more scope to hunt road map trends.
