Quantum Baccarat Live from Playtech
Live dealer Quantum Baccarat from Playtech began taking bets in April 2025. It’s a live baccarat table with random multipliers applying across all bets, with a max possible payout of 888x.
Playtech launched Quantum Blackjack and Quantum Roulette back in 2019. Then came higher volatility derivative games Quantum Blackjack Plus and 1000x Quantum Roulette (both launched in 2022). They have since also launched a bunch of other live games with multipliers – but none based on baccarat, until now that is.
It could be argued Quantum Baccarat, their first baccarat ‘multiplier game’ was long overdue.
One reason for this, random multipliers are already in play on all Playtech’s live baccarat tables. But on these tables, multipliers only apply to Tie and side bets.
Quantum Baccarat ratchets things up a notch, applying more and bigger multipliers across all bets, including main game Banker and Player bets, meaning more payout volatility than the regular baccarat tables.
Quantum Baccarat can be played at a few major casinos carrying Playtech’s live games, including bet365, Dafabet and Bwin.
What is Quantum Baccarat?
At the core of Quantum Baccarat is a standard live baccarat game – same deal, same win condition, same third card rules (see our baccarat tutorial if you’re unsure of these).
The main game can be played in your choice (at the click of a switch between deals) of:
- regular (or Commission) payouts: Player (1:1), Banker (0.95:1), Tie (8:1), or
- No Commission payouts: Player (1:1), Banker (1:1, unless Banker win value 6 then 0.5:1), Tie (8:1).
There are also a bunch of side bets offered, detailed further below.
You have 10 seconds to place your bets. Once bets close, 1 to 5 of the bet positions are highlighted and a random multiplier amount is applied. This becomes the new payout should the bet win.
Quantum Fee
All these boosted payouts don’t come for free. You pay for them in the form of a Quantum Fee of 20% that applies to every bet you make.

A $1 chip on the bet map, as above will see a $1.20 deduction in your account balance. The quantum fee funds boosted payouts, while preserving the house edge for all bets.
The Quantum Multipliers
Multipliers can be applied to any of the available bets. Possible multiplier values for each bet position are as follows:
-
- Main Game:
- Banker /Player: (×3,×4, ×5, ×7, ×11, ×22, ×33, ×44, ×55, ×88)
- Tie: (×22, ×33, ×44, ×55, ×88, ×111, x222, ×333, ×555, ×888)
- Side bets:
- Player / Banker Pair: (×22, ×33, ×44, ×55, ×88, ×111, x222, ×333, ×555, ×888)
- Either Pair: (×11, ×22, ×33, ×44, ×55, ×88, ×111, x222, ×333, ×555, ×888)
- Perfect Pairs™: (×44, ×55, ×66, ×77, ×88, ×111, ×222, ×333, x555, ×888)
- Big: (×3, ×4, ×5, ×7, ×11, ×22, ×33, x44, ×55, ×88)
- Small: (×4, ×5, ×7, ×11, ×22, ×33, x44, ×55, ×88)
- Main Game:

For the pictured round, multipliers have been applied to Banker (x5) and Perfect Pairs (x66).
A winning Banker bet now pays 4:1 rather than the usual 0.95:1.

Quantum Baccarat Payouts and Return to Player by bet
Tie and Pairs side bets offer the game’s highest possible payout at ×888, or 887:1. Despite the high potential payouts, these are not the best returning bets.
As shown below, your best bet from a return to player (RTP) point of view is the Banker bet, playing Commission mode.
