Out with the old, in with the new

VIP-new

The rollout of the new format UI for Evolution Gaming tables continues.

Last week the all access green (lower limit) blackjack tables updated to the new HD, widescreen format. This week it was the red VIP tables’ turn.

It’s a completely cosmetic change. Game rules (and indeed the tables and dealers) remain the same. It’s just that the action is captured in higher definition, on a wider screen and with various buttons presented less intrusively. Chips appear only during betting time. Bet command buttons only appear when required and other information and functions (help, setting, history, limits, chat etc) are subtly placed at the outer edges of the screen.

If the intent was to make everything seem less like a game console and more like how the table would appear if you were actually sitting in front of it, I think the changes work.

VIP-old

The old UI….gradually being phased

The new widescreen format is also a better fit for TV viewing, so should be welcomed by any of you tempted to play live blackjack via your 65 inch LCD.
