Live Dealer Makta from Ezugi

Ezugi have introduced a live dealer Makta table.

Makta, or Satta Matka as it is also known is a game with origins dating back to pre-independence India. It became popular in Bombay in the 1950’s and remains a player favourite in the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat today, although play is largely restricted to online.

For those unfamiliar, Makta is a simple lottery game. Players place their wager and choose 3 numbers. The dealer then draws 3 numbers from a bowl. The more matches, the higher the payout.

Ezugi’s version of Makta is in keeping with the traditional Makta game, free from newly conceived side bets or random multipliers. It can be played at any casinos carrying Ezugi’s live games, including DublinbetStelarioWindetta and Amunra.

Playing Live Dealer Makta

After placing your bet, you’re prompted to choose three numbers from 10 displayed, 0 through 9. If you fail to select your numbers during the allotted time (which is plenty), your missing selections will be randomly made for you.

Once you’ve chosen your three numbers, all that’s left to do see how your choices faired.

You will notice that a fourth number automatically appears as part of your selection. This is automatically calculated as the last digit of the sum of your numbers. The example selection below (1, 8, 4) sums to 13 so the fourth number becomes 3. This number comes into play for the second chance payout, shown below.

The dealer then draws 3 balls from the bowl using a big spoon. If your chosen numbers match, you win a payout as follows:

  • 3 number match – pays 8:1
  • 2 number match – pays 3:1
  • Second Chance Match – pays 1:1

Second chance match is when your fourth number matches the dealers fourth number (calculated in the same way using the drawn numbers).

Live Dealer Makta RTP

There’s an old adage in gambling that the lower the skill required for a game, the lower the theoretical return. This isn’t always the case. But it certainly applies here. Makta is a zero skill game. You guess 3 numbers and hope for the best.

Ezugi could have been a little more generous with payouts to boost the game’s expected value. Perhaps they were eager to keep with tradition.

Nonetheless, the game’s theoretical return is a lowly 95.83%.
