Pragmatic Play’s Dice City Live Game Show
In July 2025 Pragmatic Play’s live game lobby displayed Dice City as its latest live game show.
Dice City is actually a reboot of Boom City which has been running for some time. The changes are actually pretty subtle. But first lets look at what’s stayed the same.
Dice City – what’s the same (as Boom City)

The main premise of the game remains.
At the heart of Dice City is a 36-cell grid with each cell denoting a prize – either a multiplier value or bonus game. The roll of two giant dice dictate the resulting cell. The blue dice determines the row number, the red determines the column number and the intersecting cell is the winning outcome.
Winning bets on numbered cells (1, 2, or 5) pay corresponding amounts. Winning bets on bonus game cells carry though to the bonus games (Dice Battle, Lucky Drop and Boom or Bust) which are all dice-driven games arriving at a final multiplier value.
All this occurs on the same set, using the same board, giant dice and shakers used on Boom City.
Dice City – what’s changed
There are 2 major changes to the main game mechanics.
1. The grid’s layout remains unchanged throughout the game.
Whereas on Boom City the grid was randomly reshuffled each round after bets close, on Dice City it is now fixed, as below. Bonus games, set diagonally are triggered when doubles are rolled.

2. Random multipliers have been introduced.
On some (most) rounds, after bets close a random booster value (2x up to 10x) is generated and assigned to one of the bet spots. If it is assigned to a number, as above, the payout multiplies accordingly. If it is assigned to a bonus game, the final bonus game outcome is multiplied accordingly.
The changes have simplified the game a little. Perhaps this is something players were wanting.
Dice City Bonus Games
The bonus games remain largely unchanged. Same names, very similar mechanics. For all, the roll of the giant dice will dictate a final multiplier.

The bonus game bets come with higher outcome volatility than the number bets. Those looking for maximum outcome volatility will choose the Boom or Bust bet with a max payout of 10,000:1.
Interesting, Pragmatic have engineered the game so that the return to player (RTP) rate across all bets is the nearly the same.
