Prosperity Tree Baccarat Live from Evolution

Prosperity Tree Baccarat is yet another live baccarat game with random multipliers boosting payouts, from Evolution.

Their quest to satisfy every possible baccarat playing preference continues. Prosperity Tree Baccarat comes with more (but smaller) multipliers making for less outcome volatility. It also means you’re more likely to hit a multiplied win on a given round than when you play the other baccarat multiplier tables, which by way of quick recap include:

With Prosperity Tree Baccarat, you’re guaranteed 8 random multipliers each game round (2x or 3x).

In terms of look and feel, the table ticks all the feng shui good luck boxes. It’s set in auspiciously zen surrounds under the golden tree from which the eight prosperity cards drop each round. Meanwhile, pan flute music reminiscent of your favourite Thai massage joint plays gently in the background, making gambling with real money seem far less stressful than it really should be.

How to Play Prosperity Tree Baccarat

If you’ve played any live baccarat table this game will not be a stretch. You’re essentially playing baccarat with the same bets on the main game (Player, Banker, Tie), same win condition (closest position to 9) and same deal convention and third card rules. Check the baccarat tutorial if these are foreign concepts.

The key differences from regular baccarat are:

  • 8 cards are randomly selected and randomly assigned multipliers, boosting base payouts
  • a fee of 20% is taken by the house on all bets (to fund these multiplied payouts),

Here’s a round run through to illustrate.

Prosperity Tree Baccarat placebets

As always, chips on the bet map get you in the game. Note here, when a €10 bet is placed, the balance drops €12. That’s the 20% house fee being deducted.

Once bets close, prosperity cards begin elegantly falling from the golden tree.

Prosperity Cards

After all 8 prosperity cards have dropped, 2x or 3x multipliers are randomly assigned to each.

If any of these cards are dealt to your chosen bet position, it multiplies the base payout accordingly. That is,

  • any prosperity cards dealt to the Player position multiply the Player win payout,
  • any prosperity cards dealt to the Banker position multiply the Banker win payout, and
  • any prosperity cards dealt to either position, multiply the Tie payout.

In this example a 6 with a 3x multiplier elevates a Player win payout from even money to 3x and a €40 win from €10 staked.

As with the other baccarat multiplier games, if there is more than one multiplier in play, they multiply to arrive at the final applicable multiplier. In the below example a Tie payout lifts from 5:1 to 20x.

Payouts – regular and maximum multiplied

Bet Regular payout Max multiplied payout
Player 1:1 27:1
Banker 1:1* 27:1
Tie 5:1 Capped at €500,000
Player Pair 10:1 90:1
Banker Pair 10:1 90:1

*95% of your Banker bet returned if your bet wins.
For non-multiplied wins this equates to a 0.95:1 payout (ie as per regular baccarat Banker payout).

Note also that the Tie payout is capped at €500,000. A reflection of the fact that this bet could see 6 prosperity cards in play and the possibility of a 3 (= 729x) multiplier and a payout of 3,645:1.

The odds of this are noted in the house rules as 1 in 25,000,000,000 but Evolution have capped the payout for their casinos just in case a high roller gets lucky!

Theoretical returns and best bets

Your optimal bet is Player. But both Player and Banker bets come with a pretty skinning house edge.

Bet Return to Player
Player 98.89%
Banker 98.74%
Tie 92.78%
Player Pair 92.53%
Banker Pair 92.53%

The Tie and pairs side bets as per usual are best avoided.
