Congrats to International Gaming Award winners
The 2016 International Gaming Awards were held last Monday at The Savoy Hotel London.
These awards cover both land based and online casino gaming. There’s no live dealer gambling category, but there were a few familiar names making it onto the winners list.
They included:
- Microgaming: awarded Innovator of the Year
Not for innovations related ot their live games unfortunately…but rather a product called VR Roulette, described by Microgaming as:
“Developed for use with the Oculus Rift DK 2 headset and Leap Motion 3D Controller, VR Roulette was designed to examine analogue interactions across real and virtual environments, tracking the player’s hand movements and then projecting them into the 3D world.”
If I understood what any of this meant I’m sure I’d agree it’s very innovative. - Mr Green: awarded Mobile Operator of the Year
These guys aren’t focusing all their attention on mobile. Their live games suite is also pretty impressive; now with 3 platforms to choose from after the recent addition of Extreme Live Gaming (Evolution and NetEnt tables also offered). - Leo Vegas: awarded Online Casino Operator of the Year
Their live casino must have had a little bit to do with this decision. Four platforms to choose from: Evolution, NetEnt, Extreme Live Gaming and Portomaso / Wirex !
Full reviews and additions to Livedealer.org well overdue for both Mr Green and Leo Vegas. - William Hill: awarded Online Sportsbook Operator of the Year
We know their live tables (Mayfair, Macau, Vegas) aren’t too shabby either. - Unibet: awarded Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Online
Yep, there’s an award for the most socially responsible online casino. There’s an oxymoron in there somewhere.
Congratulations to these, and other winners.
