Mega Sic Bac Live from Pragmatic Play
Welcome to Mega Sic Bac from Pragmatic Play.
If the games of Sic Bo and Baccarat hooked up and had love child, Mega Sic Bac would be it. Inherited from Baccarat we get the bets on the main game – Banker, Player and Tie. Inherited from Sic Bo is the fact that outcomes are decided by dice rather than cards.
That’s the Sic and Bac in the name explained. The Mega part tells us this game comes with multipliers like other games in Pragmatic’s ‘Mega’ family of multiplier live games.
Incidentally, Sic Bo and Baccarat have an older love child – Evolution’s live Bac Bo which has been taking bets since early 2022 (same main game, no multipliers).

How to play Mega Sic Bac
The premise of this game is very simple…
- on the table are 4 dice, each in their own shaker
- there are 2 blue Player dice & 2 red Banker dice
- on the main game you are betting on which of Player or Banker will have the highest 2-dice total
The game presenter activates the shakers each round with the push of a button and rounds come quickly.
Mega Sic Bac Bets and Payouts
The game’s bet selector is divided in two with main game bets left and a bunch of side bets to the right.
Main game bets are :
- Player with base payout 1:1,
- Banker with base payout 1:1, and
- Tie with base payout 6:1 (for all Ties, unlike Evo’s Bac Bo where payout changes based on value of Tie)
These base payouts can be increased by the randomly generated payout boosters (see below).
The side bets let you bet on various dice combinations:
- Double (specific) pays when exactly 2 of the 4 dice (irrespective of colour) are the same specific value.
- Triple (specific) pays where exactly 3 of the 4 dice are the same specific value.
- Quad (specific) pays where all 4 dice are the same specific value.
- Any Double pays where exactly 2 of the 4 dice (irrespective of colour) are the same value.
- Any Triple pays where exactly 3 of the 4 dice are the same value.
- Any Quad pays where all 4 dice are the same value.
The requirement for an exact double or triple is emphasised. If for example you bet Any Double and the result is a Triple or Quad, your bet doesn’t pay.
Base payouts for the side bets are clearly indicated in the bet selector. They can also be increased by the payout boosters with the max possible boosted payout shown below.
Bet | Base payout | Max boosted payout | RTP |
---|---|---|---|
Main Bets | |||
Banker | 1:1 | 5:1 | 98.26% |
Player | 1:1 | 5:1 | 98.26% |
Tie | 6:1 | 88:1 | 97.54% |
Side bets | |||
Double | 6:1 | 88:1 | 96.53% |
Triple | 50:1 | 888:1 | 95.56% |
Quad | 1000:1 | 5000:1 | 95.11% |
Any Double | 0.5:1 | 3:1 | 97.02% |
Any Triple | 8:1 | 88:1 | 96.54% |
Any Quad | 150:1 | 888:1 | 95.51% |
Note also (as per usual) that value-wise your best bets are on the main game, not the side bets.
Payout boosters
The payout boosters are randomly generated after bets close while the dice are tumbling in their shakers. The house rules doesn’t specify how many boosters can be applied each round. From observation 2 to 5 seems to be most common.
The new boosted payouts are displayed on the selector.
When the dice come to rest, all winning outcomes are highlighted and paid, in the example round above:
- Banker win
- Double 5
- Any Double.
What do we think of Mega Sic Bac?
If you liked Evo’s Bac Bo, you’re going to like this game. Easy to understand, elegantly presented and with theoretical returns that are quite reasonable. Throw in the multipliers for a bit more spice, and a max possible payout of 5000:1, and this game is sure to be a winner with players – especially those who believe in the auspiciousness of number 8.
