Playtech offer a wide range of live roulette tables, streamed from dealer studios in Riga (Latvia), Romania (Bucharest) and their Asian dealer studio in the Philippines (Manila).

Playtech’s live roulette offering is characterised by a very engaging, and chatty staff of croupiers. Other key characteristics such as table appearance, playing interface features, house rules and RTP considerations are set out below.

Look & Feel

House rules & RTP

As is evident above, Playtech’s live roulette tables come in many look & feel variations. There are tables streamed from multiple studios around the world and delivered in a range of game UI’s.

Additionally, catering to niche playing preferences Playtech have Speed Roulette, Prestige Roulette with its slo-mo ball drop replays and the newly introduced AGE OF GODS table.

In terms of house rules there are really only three different games offered.

  1. European Roulette
European (single zero) roulette tables with standard bets and payouts applying.
  2. French Roulette
The French table layout is slightly different, but essentially the same bets and payouts apply (also single 0), with the exception of the rule of La Partage being in effect (you lose only half of your bet, not all of it, when you bet outside and the ball lands on zero).
  3. American Roulette
Additional pocket on the wheel (00), plus an additional corresponding bet position on the table. Same bet payouts apply as above tables.

Theoretical return to player rates:

  • European Roulette (En Prison rule doesn’t apply): 97.30%
  • French Roulette (taking even money, outside bets): 98.65%
  • American Roulette (same payouts, 38 outcomes rather than 37): 94.74%

Playing interface features

With multiple studios, and an 18 month long migration of tables and tech into their principal studio (new Riga studio) ending in 2018, there was a time there when seemingly every live roulette table you opened came with a different interface…bet actions, buttons, window dimensions etc.

Towards the end of 2018, players would have noticed far more UI consistency across all Playtech roulette tables.

All the features expected from a leading live games provider are intuitively accessibly:

  • bet actions
  • racetracks for neighbours and special bets
  • comprehensive bet history stats (not that they help!)
  • hot/cold number details (not that they help!)
  • dealer chat and easy access to help
