The below games are all based on baccarat.

A standard real card baccarat deal to the Player and Banker positions.  Regular third card rules applying. The familiar, closest to 9 win condition deciding outcomes.

But they all include pretty major departures from standard baccarat game. Departures so significant we didn’t think it right to list them on the live baccarat page.

Key among these departures is the introduction RNG (random number generator) or computer generated elements changing the payout structure. More specifically, adding payout multipliers into the mix.

Computer Generated Random Multipliers

The combining of a physical baccarat card deal and computer generated random multipliers is a concept that has proven popular with players.

Evolution’s Lightning Baccarat was the first live baccarat to offer random multipliers. All of a sudden you could win a payout up to 512:1 for a Player or Banker win, rather than just even money or 0.95:1.

Enticing for some.

There are now a quite a few baccarat tables with random multipliers applying including Lightning Baccarat, Golden Wealth Baccarat, Red Envelope BaccaratXXXtreme Lightning BaccaratProsperity Tree Baccarat and Mega Baccarat.

Payout volatility

The mix of multipliers applying to a game affect its payout volatility. Games with a guaranteed number of low value multipliers in play each round have a lower volatility. Games with a high variation of multipliers in play each round and higher value multipliers result in high payout volatility.

Player tastes in terms of payout volatility are now met with a range of options.

At the high end of the payout volatility scale you have XXXtreme Lightning Baccarat.

At the lower end of the scale there’s Prosperity Tree Baccarat.

Other significant rule departures

Peek Baccarat from Evolution lets you double or triple your bet during the deal, after a peek at the cards. You pay a 20% commission direct to the house on every  Player of Banker bet for this privilege.

On Playtech’s Bet On Baccarat, Banker and Player bets are lost (not pushed) in the case of a Tie – a small change that make s big different to the games theoretical return!

On Evolution’s Always 8 Baccarat, the Banker’s first card is always an 8.

On Pragmatic’s Seotda Baccarat table, the deal is from a 20-card Hwatu deck, with classic Seotda hand ranks determining the winning position.
